Volunteer Opportunities at WHIW

WHIW NEEDS VOLUNTEERS!!!

Interested in learning about community radio?  Do you want to help communicate current events and local news to the listening area?  There are lots of ways to volunteer and learn about everything from the different technologies, programming and hosting shows, to fundraising, attending events and outreach projects.  Below are just some of the ways that YOU can make a difference.

Tablers
The WHIW outreach table can be found at fairs, music events,

non-profit gatherings giving out information about WHIW and selling WHIW merchandise. Tabling can be an especially fun activity in the summer months.

For example: Milk Days and Balloon Fest.

Clean Up & Housekeeping Crew
To come to the WHIW station once a month and take a cleaning shift and make WHIW look pretty.

Various Station Committees
WHIW has committees that work in the areas of programming, development, finances and technology.  We'd love to have some new ideas and input from our listeners who might have great skills for us in these areas!

Music Programmers, News Reporters & Public Affairs Program Hosts
Of course radio programming is our main service (along with our always developing Internet features) and we are always in need of new volunteers to host new shows and substitute on others.  You could be the next new music programmer or public affairs producer!  Free training is provided so you don't need to have prior experience to be on the air.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please fill out our ON-LINE FORM or download the PDF to the right and drop off at the station, send to the station, or scan and e-mail to:  harvardradio@gmail.com

We look forward to working with you!
